Adelitas Way / Red at Sunshine Studios in Colorado Springs, Co 9/26/24

This was an unexpected show, a friend of mine hit me up and said he had 3 extra tickets and if I wanted, I could have them. Hard to pass up a free show. I hit up another buddy of mine who joined us. Since this was an unexpected show, we got the tickets the day before, so we didn’t plan well and didn’t leave early as we usually do so by the time we got to the venue there were probably 20+ people already in line. While we were waiting in line poor Jess was standing there and got stung by a wasp. Her first time ever getting stung, I felt so bad for her. Thankfully we had some ice so that helped. Once we got in, we made our way to the rail, it was a tight fit and we were off to the side, but we were still on the rail.

I don’t remember the name of the first band. It was some girl singer, they might have been local. From what I remember (as I’m writing this 8 months later) they were ok and put on a good set. The next band was Kingdom. I feel like I’ve seen them before but couldn’t tell you for sure. They put on a good set and was a nice warm up band. Of course, I have seen Adelita’s Way a couple of times and they are always entertaining and put on a great set. In my opinion they should have headlined. But that’s also because I don’t know but 1 Red song. Red did come out and put on a good set and I enjoyed them. I know Jess enjoyed them. I do remember seeing them once before at a festival on a side stage early in the day and can tell you they put on a much better show this time than at the festival from what I remember. All and all I had a good time and would go see them again.
